Does VIN Relay store my search?
No. This page does not collect credentials, reports, or query history.
Where does the vehicle data come from?
VIN Relay does not provide vehicle data. The independent provider handles the lookup after the browser handoff.
Can I search with a license plate?
Yes. Choose License Plate in the search card and select the issuing state.
What makes a VIN valid?
A modern VIN contains 17 allowed characters. Letters I, O, and Q are not used.
What if the check digit differs?
We show a warning but still allow the provider lookup, since some vehicles use nonstandard conventions.
Is VIN Relay affiliated with FaxVIN?
No. FaxVIN is an independent third-party service.
